The Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital Foundation (BMP Foundation) has launched a new collaboration in support of cancer patients at the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital (BMP Hospital) through the Oncology Patient Fund

Since 2019, the Oncology Patient Fund has allowed patients with cancer at the BMP Hospital to take part in yoga sessions that are adapted to their needs and abilities with certified 'Yoga4cancer' teacher Laura Hernandez. Now, these patients will be able to benefit from an additional one-on-one service with kinesiologist Gabrielle Duhamel

CIDI spoke with Executive Director of the BMP Foundation Francis Laramée to learn more about the Oncology Patient Fund and how it is supporting patients at the BMP Hospital.

We also spoke with Duhamel and Hernandez to learn more about their services and the importance of making physical activity accessible to patients with chronic pain.

(Editor’s note: The BMP Hospital Foundation is a sponsor of Cultivating Community w/Shelley & Cash).
