Jan Hall

After a 25 year veterinary career culminating in a tenured university professorship, Jan has returned to her passion, music and radio.

These days, Jan is a very successful radio broadcaster and much sought after stage host/festival emcee. As the host of Folk Roots Radio, Jan focuses on bringing new folk, roots and blues music and the voices of upcoming and independent artists to the airwaves.

Jan started in Radio in 1993 at WEFT 90.1fm in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. After moving to Canada, Folk Roots Radio (formerly Royal City Rag) debuted on CFRU 93.3fm in Guelph, Ontario in August 2005.

Since that time, Folk Roots Radio has grown into a syndicated radio show, currently airing on six different radio stations. If you are interested in airing Folk Roots Radio on your radio station, please get in touch.
