La première édition du festival Soif de Musique se tiendra le jeudi, vendredi et samedi les 11, 12 et 13 juillet sur les terrains de l‘ecole Massey-Vanier. Jeudi il y aura Claudia Bouvette, Milk et Bone, le rappeur Loud, et Qualité Motel. Vendredi il y aura Angel Forrest, Marjo et France d’Amour en spectacle conjoint, et Kevin Parent. Samedi c’est Édouard Lagacé, Bleu Jeans Bleu, Émile Bilodeau et les Cowboys Fringant. Les laissez-passer à 35$ et rensignements sont disponible en consulter www.soifdemusique.com.

The first edition of the festival Soif de Musique takes place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 11, 12 and 13 on the grounds of Massey-Vanier High School. On Thursday enjoy Claudia Bouvette, Milk and Bone, the rapper Loud, and Qualité Motel. On Friday is Angel Forrest, Marjo and France d’Amour in concert together as well as Kevin Parent. Theatre Lac-Brome presents Frida Kahlo Correspondence with Sophie Faucher on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 11, 12 and 13 at 8:00 p.m. in the Theatre at 9 Mont Echo Road in Knowlton. The show is an intimate look at Frida Kahlo the painter, militant hero, abused woman, in love with fellow human beings and with words. The show is presented in French. Town of Brome Lake presents Festive Fridays at Coldbrook Park in Knowlton. Friday, July 12 features Sandokwa, which means The Eagle, a Huron-Wendat dance troupe performing dances and songs that have a special meaningful ritual. Admission is free. The 31st annual Tour des Arts studio tour and sale is on from Saturday, July 13 until Sunday, July 21 in artists’ studios in Abercorn, Brome Lake, Brome Village, East Bolton, Mansonville, Sutton and West Bolton. Visit 36 artists and artisans in their workplace. Or take in the collective exhibition on the same dates in Arts Sutton at 7 Academy in Sutton, which begins with a Vernissage on Friday, July 12 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. For information go to www.tourdesarts.com.

Biblioteque Sutton Library is holding its annual Book Sale on Saturday, July 13 at the John Sleeth Center in Sutton. Please bring your own bags.

Woodstock Music Festival 50 Years Later takes place on Saturday, July 13 at Coldbrook Park in Knowlton. Multiple local rock bands will provide rock and roll. Bring your bell bottoms, tie-dyed shirts, lunch and refreshments. For information call 450-577-3717.

The benefit concert Passion Céline featuring the music of Céline Dion and with participation by the Pot Pourri Choir takes place on Saturday, July 13 at 8:00 p.m. in St-Édouard Church at 366 Knowlton Road in Knowlton. The Tandalee Farm Horse Trials take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14 at 31 Town Hall Road in West Bolton. There are 5 levels and 120 competitors. Dressage and cross-country take place on Saturday with stadium jumping on Sunday. Spectators are welcome. Parking is free. The award-winning Gab’s Canteen will be on the site. The Brome County Historical Society invites you to a High Tea at the Museum on Sunday, July 14 at 130 Lakeside in Knowlton. On the first Thursday of each month, fill a bag for $7. They accept clean articles in good condition, including clothing, boots, shoes, toys, bedding, dishes and small appliances. Please do not bring skis, furniture or large appliances.

PRRP Abercorn is open every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 11 Church Street West in Abercorn across from the town hall.
